Honoratka is a historic restaurant located on Midowa Street in Warsaw. Burnt down during the bombing of Warsaw by Germans in 1939, it was rebuilt after the war (completed in 1967) on the basis of detailed paintings by Bernardo Belotto Canaletto, whose views of Warsaw helped rebuilt the destroyed city. Alexander Scriabin was once thought to have been a synesthete, but recent research indicates he was only an “intellectual synesthete,” a person who deliberately contrives to associate certain colors with certain keys. Less commonly used is the "R" number, which derives from Peter Raabe's 1931 catalogue Franz Liszt: Leben und Schaffen. Chopin had many “society” friends, while Sand associated with a more bohemian, artistic, and political crowd.
